Mixing - Update

I think we finished mixing The Bitter Suite CD last night at Big City. The plan now is to give the ears a rest over the holiday and then listen for egregious errors. If none found, time to master. Paul (Tavenner) is not only a terrific drummer and Grand Poobah of Big City Recording, he's also a top-notch mastering engineer with over 1000 records under his belt. I think I'll let him handle the mastering chores. Looks like we're on track for an early Feb 2011 release. Stay tuned. =PL

Status Update

Back to the studio tonight. Bitter Suite mixes are nearly complete -- only 3 tunes left untouched, plus touch-ups on the other 9 or so. Pushing to have mixing complete by end of the year. Been working on this record for over 2 years now. Yikes.

Last few nights have been working on an arrangement of "Let It Snow" to use for this year's holiday greeting. Hoping to record it with Catherine this weekend.
